About Nigg Community Hall

Nigg Community hall is a substantial traditionally constructed ecclesiastical church building originally built around 1844. Ownership of the hall was transferred to the community in 1958 and over the years has been managed by community members. The last group to manage the hall ceased operations in February 2025.

The Nigg Community Hall steering group - formed as a SCIO in 2025 and is dedicated to re-claiming, renewing, and re-developing the hall in a phased redevelopment to meet the aspirations of the community, ensuring sustainability to have a positive impact for local people, visitors and the area.

Our mission is to combat social isolation, deliver opportunities for individuals to contribute to their community, and foster a vibrant and resilient neighbourhood. We strive to create a space that facilitates engagement and connection within the community.
