Our Work

Now that the ownership of the hall has been approved by the KLTR and the conveyancing is complete the group will be working hard to realise the vision of the community to ensure sustainability of the hall.

Updating the Venue

As part of our journey to reclaim the hall for the community we commissioned a building survey.  There is work to do to bring the hall up to standard before we can re-open to the public and start to reconnect with our community through activities and events.  Our first community event was on Saturday 28th March from 10 am to 2 pm.

Linking with Nigg Old Church

Nigg Old Church is an asset to the Nigg area and brings visitors from all over the world. Linking with the church for events and improving the hall to include an accessible toilet for visitors to the area is part of our phased development.

Connecting to Bishops Walk

Bishops Walk is a stunning walk adjacent to Nigg Old Church.

The Future Is Bright

As part of the single phase feasibility study and business plan to ensure sustainability, opportunities for growth and development were identified including the introduction of a tea room/cafe taking in the panoramic views of the Cromarty Firth. Our members have been consulted with Lachie Stewarts proposals for development.
