Looking To The Future

We had a grand drop-in session to view proposals for development from consultant Lachie Stewart on the 16th June 2026.

Three options were shared as well as a proposal for an air to air heating (a2a) system with solar panels and batteries, and the advantages over underfloor heating. 

We plan to do some further consultation of main community groups that currently use the hall. 

Today we thought about the Hall's role supporting the wider community - like accessible toilets used by locals and visitors; or how our Hall can support the Nigg Old Church, its Pictish Stone and link up the Pictish Stones to weave together the whole Pictish Trail.

It's our chance to upgrade this amazing historic building, respecting its 182 years - but making it a modern hall with safe parking, which is warm, safe, Wi-Fi, has appropriate storage for different groups etc.
